What is special about Golf in Egypt?

How did Golf become popular in Egypt?

It was only a few years ago when there was only a few golf courses in Egypt. Now, realising the potential of golf's growing popularity, owing to the expansion of the suburban residential areas and the demand from visitors there are now a over 12 established golf courses all over Egypt, and there are many more in development or on the drawing board. Courses have been completed by some of the world top golf architects including Gary Player, Karl Litten Florida's Sanford Associates and top European firms.

Is Egypt really a golfing destination?

The weather of Egypt is considered stable and ideal for golfing all year round, sunny days, and a very little humidity, rain rarely stops play. Being irrigation experts, the Egyptians ensure that the course is well-manicured and have produced some of the world's top professional courses.
